Celia Ivon Veloz Saenz is a recognized potter in Juan Mata Ortiz, Chihuahua, with over 20 years of experience. Her collaboratory pottery work with her husband, José Luis Pérez Ramírez, has led them to win several national and international awards. In 2016 they won the Award for the best piece of the annual Mata Ortiz Ceramics contest. And in 2017, Celia won second place in the International Ceramics Competition: A Tile and Vessel in Silver City, NM, competing against potters from Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

      In addition, since 2012, Celia Veloz Saenz is an active member of the nonprofit organization MATA ORTIZ GRUPO SIETE AC (MOG7 AC). Her career has led her to participate in several exhibitions in Mexico and the United States. Her work is characterized by perfectly crafted lines and strokes, over the years she has increasingly exceeded and perfected her work and love for this art.
